About Rocky Ridge
Rocky Ridge is north of Crowchild Trail, and west of Rocky Ridge Road, about 1 kilometre west of Stoney Trail. Stoney Trail connects the community to the Trans-Canada Highway, just west of Canada Olympic Park.
Just off of Nose Hill Drive, Crowfoot Town Centre includes a Safeway and Revy, restaurants and several auto dealers. The community has a 3,000-square-foot clubhouse, a pond with paddle boats, and plenty of green space with two tennis courts, a beach volleyball court and a jungle gym facility. There is an annual fee of $250. When the separate school is built, east of Rocky Ridge Rd, there will be two ball diamonds and a soccer field included.
Rocky Ridge construction began in 1995, with the first phase called Rocky Ridge Ranch, which will eventually have 2,500 homes. All the houses will have a western theme, with vinyl siding (no stucco), stone or river rock facades (no brick) and where appropriate, large front verandas.
